Our Designers

Eva Tralala is a French designer based in Paris. Her designs are very typical to her, with an emphasis on collars and bows! Everything isa little bit quirky and she uses great colours, particularly in the Autumn/Winter collection. Her coats are very different and striking and retailat £160 to £250. They  are made from boiled wool and have coordinating hats, skirts, jackets and other items.

The collection has to be seen to understand how appealing it is. www.evatralala.fr  There are other ranges in the collection, including lighter jackets and trousers.

Her Spring/Summer collection includes high quality linen, again made in Paris and designed to be a bit different. You will find bows on the backs of jackets as seen in the winter collection.

Walter Krines

Walter Krines is a German designer, based in Berlin. The quality of the clothes is second to none and he uses a variety of fabrics. Lynda discovered Krines in the North of England when she was looking for comfortable clothes. Yes, they’re comfortable.

He uses three types of sizing depending on the style of the item. For non-structured pieces, he chooses to mark them as one size. They are great for the bigger lady or for someone looking for comfort. The second type of sizing is used on semi-structured designs and comes as I, II, III etc and covers a couple of sizes. This includes trousers and skirts with elasticated waists.

Finally, for the fitted lines he uses traditional sizing such as 38 (UK 10), 40 (UK 12) etc. This is an absolutely fantastic label if you are looking for something a bit different and always want excellent quality.

James Lakeland

James Lakeland is a very clever designer, remembering that British women are not all size zero! He insists on using top fabrics and everything is made in Italy. In general, things are true to size so you know what you are buying with his designs. This is a family run business with both his mother and sister being very hands-on. In fact, it was his sister who I first spoke to but it was James who interviewed me to check that he wanted Classy Clothes to sell his designs. We passed and have find the label to be popular.

MarcelinoMarcelino

Marcelino is a Spanish label, new to this country for Autumn/Winter 2009.

Our agent is in the North so we managed to secure it in the South for their first season. It has been popular and we look forward to receiving the Spring/Summer 2010 collection.

The designs include anything from great suits for the high-flyer to stunning wedding outfits with a difference to that sought after LBD we all just have to have. Many of the designs are very ‘Spanish’ with something of interest like funky buttons and each piece carries the Marcelino logo.

Bruno Saint Hilaire

Classy Clothes wanted to stock a good brand of jeans and trousers so decided on the French label, Bruno Saint Hilaire. The jeans and trousers are well cut and hang so well on the hanger! The black trousers exude style and are not like any you’ll see in the High Street.
